[ At the very least she's used to him popping in and out randomly that she didn't fall out of her chair in surprise. Or damaged the furniture with a thrown weapon or bolt of fire.
(There may have been an incident or two where she had to replace furniture thanks to Levi - either due to her accidentally burning something in surprise or because their ... activities got too rough. It wasn't one of her proudest moments.)
She rolls her eyes as she straightens, lowering her hand. Right.
The real reason why she asked him to stop by.
Madsen takes a deep breath. While there was a small part of her that was looking forward to the possibility of a later physical fight or something else (with them, the line tended to blur considerably), she had to say her piece here. ]
What's your endgame here, Levi. Outside pissing me off enough to either fight you or fuck you.
[ he should clearly start knocking. can't have things being predictable, oh no.
the Creature, in a strange way, seems to be almost waiting patiently for Madsen to speak. watches her with amusement and maybe, possibly, something else. he doesn't have to be a demon to sense the unease.
however, he doesn't expect what comes out of her mouth at all.
the fingers tapping against the arm of the chair still, almost like he was surprised. almost. with a soft noise, a sigh of sorts, the Leviathan pulls himself up out of the chair and moves towards Madsen. there is a perfectly crafted look of pity on his face as he does.]
Endgame? You think-- oh precious, do you honestly think that there is anything more to this than fighting and fucking? [ a claw tipped nail beneath her chin, ice cold.] There is no endgame, I mean, eventual death for parties that are not myself, but surely that much was obvious.
[ She watches him intently while he stands, eyes narrowing considerably when she recognizes that look of pity on his face. Wrath was probably considered her main vice (as the whole fiasco with Amon could attest), but there was some Pride there as well, and he knew just as well as she did that she loathed being looked down on or pitied like this.
There's almost a growl that rumbles at the back of her throat and a slight shiver when he tips her head up, ehther from the cold or just from the gesture in and of itself, it was hard to tell. Probably both? ]
And yet you keep coming back. I would've thought you would've moved on or gotten bored by now.
[ As she says this, her grip tightens on the arm of the chair, the other hand flexing as if she's not sure if she wants to punch him into the wall or pull him down to her level. ]
[ you should feel special, the Creature doesn't often give pity to others. not even the show of it. but to be honest-- Levi isn't sure quite what it is that is between him and this not-quite-mortal. it might be something like pity, or it might be an actual low level of enjoyment that he finds in her. the way that she puts up with no shit and calls him out without fear.
it's refreshing.
still, can't have her knowing there was more.
the Creature hums, gaze bored, but there is a barely there curl of his lips when Madsen shivers.]
Sweetheart, just because I don't kill you doesn't mean there is an endgame. It's only been what? A year for mortals? More? Less? I can't tell, and you have to remember that. There are still so many ways that I have yet to see you bleed for me, or come for me, so what makes you think I would get bored?
[ Fucking immortal demons and their fucking sense of time. It also didn't help that she still couldn't get a read on him. It's infuriating, but she can't let her anger get the best of her, not-
Then again, she's never been good at being reasonable when it came to Levi. ]
[ the Creature can't help himself, the snort of laughter that comes with her fury and defiance. he presses the tip of his nail against her skin a little harder.]
Excuse? Precious that isn't an excuse.
[ another hum, low and amused as he leans down closer. almost like he might kiss her. but-- he doesn't.
not yet.]
Do you want me to make you bleed or scream my name I wonder.
[ Madsen doesn't even flinch as he digs his nail in a little bit more under her jaw, ignoring the sharp pinprick and the small drop of blood that wells up before it starts to heal over. Technically she's said her piece by this point, went about as well as she expected.
And now...
Just what was she even doing. Taunting the Creature himself into trying to start a fight or fuck her senseless, obviously, but still.
Her eyes flash as he leans in, trying to keep her breathing and heartbeat regular. Stay impassive, don't give anything away. ]
[ not really. he knows what she would rather (he thinks) and he is well aware of what she believes him capable of in such a situation. and yet--
he doesn't lean down those last few inches, but doesn't press his nail against her skin any harder either. just-- hovers there with an almost curious lilt to his brows and waits, and waits, and--]
Doesn't matter what you want, really.
[ then he is moving, stepping away with a sharp smile on his face.]
[ At the very least, she doesn't underestimate his ability to make her hurt if it came down to it. Still, she for whatever reason couldn't get enough of it, and here they were, being coy and constantly pushing each others' buttons (or at least attempting to, in her case).
Madsen's eyes widen after a few moments when he steps away, doesn't try attacking her lips or slicing at her throat. He never was all that predictable - which was part of the reason why they ended up in this situation in the first place, if she took the time to think about it. But what he says -
"Doesn't matter what you want, really."
That for some reason makes something in her snap, causing her to shoot up out of her chair and try to pin him against the closest wall. ]
